Should You Work With Me?
Every engineer will tell you why you should hire them. I’ll tell you the opposite. Because the truth is, I’m not the right fit for everyone.
1. If you’re just chasing the lowest number.
There are people who will mix or master your track for less than I charge. Some will even do it for free. If the cheapest option is the only option, you don’t need me. You already have plenty of choices.
2. If you think mixing or mastering is just a checkbox.
“Bounce it out, slap a limiter on, call it done.” If that’s the plan, skip me. I don’t treat my work as a mixer or mastering engineer lightly. I am dedicated to making things the best they can be, and I’ve been working as a trusted collaborator for over 20 years.
3. If you want fast over forever.
A record can be “done” tomorrow. But in six months, when it sounds dated or flat, will you still feel proud of it? If speed matters more than staying power, I’ll slow you down. I am here to collaborate with you and help make something worth of your legacy as an artist.
4. If you aren’t willing to have a serious conversation about your music.
I understand how vulnerable it can be to discuss your work and get deep in the dirt, but I’ve worked on thousands of recordings with just as many people, I am willing to go there with you. I want you to be just as proud of our work together as you are putting it out into the world.
My virtual door is always open. Book a call with me to discuss your project today!
